Brad Pendergraph

Decision Support Manager, Novartis

Brad has worked in the pharmaceutical industry since 1991, working with both US domestic and international markets ranging from Europe to Egypt to Brazil. His main projects in that time have been taking data from varying sources and making it understandable and usable in various levels of an organization. In his previous organization, he created reports used by sales management at area, region, and district levels. His work has been focused on using standard office applications to feed data into MS Excel and MS Powerpoint presentations focused on executive summaries. He has also had a great deal of success developing a tool that will allow him to create a mirror image of an Excel Graph in Powerpoint, with just one click. He has worked with Xponent Weekly and Monthly data segmented by region, district and territory, as well as some physician level data. His time at Novartis has also given him the opportunity to work with IMS National NPA and NSP data. By gathering client requirements and developing appropriate stepping stones in a project, he’s created reporting tools, such as the Launch Tracker, that can be managed and run by end users of various levels of computer ability.

He has also been involved in Social Media / New Media since April 2005 and has done multiple interviews and production for his own show, as well as produced segments for several other PodCasts.

As a member of Novartis’ Social Media Catalyst Team, he works with various Social Media organizations and is researching Social Marketing and Social Media in Customer Relationship Management, Word of Mouth Marketing, and Direct to Consumer Marketing.

Bryan Vartabedian (Dr. V), MD FAAP

Dr. Vartabedian currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas and attending physician at Texas Children’s Hospital.He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in both generalpediatrics and pediatric gastroenterology and nutrition.

As a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the AAP’s Council on Communications and Media, he is frequently quoted by media on issues of pediatric and digestive health.

Simon’s early career was spent as a technical web developer in Investment Banking and eCommerce, followed by a transition into business consulting involving engagements with government and early stage entrepreneurs.  His broad experience provides a 360 view of digital business providing both business and technological perspectives.

Whilst at Blue Latitude, he has broadened his sector experience into pharmaceuticals and healthcare whilst employing his creative and analytic approach to problem solving and developing strategies that deliver sustainable business performance.
