Start small. Though you may have big plans (website, blog, social media), you are going to wear yourself out if you try to do it all at once. Instead, start with one and get it going. Once you can devote less time to it, you can start another. This will help you from burning out and giving up!

Don’t forget about e-mail lists. Though many business owners feel like e-mail marketing is dying, it is not. Actually, it is a very good way to stay in touch with customers, without bothering them. They can open your e-mails when it is most convenient for them.

Know your target customers. Everything that you do with your marketing needs to connect with your target customers, which is why you should really take your time and learn about them. Know what they like and what they dislike. Knowing your customers, and their needs, will help you better engage with them by providing the right message, at the right time, on the right platform.

Though you may be struggling with your marketing, it helps if you start small. Really embrace one thing at a time. Once you feel better about it, you can move on to the next one. However, before you do anything, you need to study your target customers so that everything that you do will be geared toward them!
