How Do You Measure The Success Of Your Beyond The Pill Initiatives?

When developing a “beyond the pill” strategy, you most likely wonder what will be the financial benefit. Unfortunately, you may not be able to successfully calculate what your return on investment will be after strategy or initiative is implemented. However, by focusing on patient empowerment and consumer engagement you are nurturing a relationship that doesn’t feel sales driven.

These initiatives should be about inspiring, motivating, and educating people who are impacted by an illness or disease. What you should focus on is how can you improve the lives of your patients. When you are creating a beyond the pill initiative, you should identify the answers to the following questions:

  • How can you give your patients the confidence they need?
  • How can you improve your patients’ social lives and personal lives?
  • How can you help your patients understand their illness or disease?

There is no one way to effectively measure a beyond the pill strategy. Not every initiative’s success story is measured by sales. One of the ways you can measure the success of your new strategy is to analyze the impact the initiative has on the engagement of the patient/consumer. It is up to you and your team to determine what metrics are most important when discussing your beyond the pill efforts.
